we should hold on to life which is sacrosanct, although we are getting continually more and more brainwashed by ‘intellectuals’ that it is dispensible.
as far as i know even unbelieving lemmings don’t commit suicide as was popularised by Disney – seen jumping inanely off precipices as if it were the done thing..
the only noble mammal that ends it all is the sick elephant who slinks out of its herd to die alone elsewhere.
    fullstop.

I think there is alot of pain and suffering in the world.
Some of us cope very well with great support – thrive even – live life to the full.

But for some people, being no longer being well or independent enough to enjoy life, that pain and suffering simply is unbearable.
Alot of these people were once able to live through the pain and find the silver-lining in the cloud.
People who, until having to endure that cruelly agonising and excruciating pain, would have agreed life is sacrosanct, taken the good with the bad and got on with it.

These people; those with degrading degenerative disease or hideous cancers that they have poisoned their bodies to fight – and lost – don’t they deserve dignity, in a death that they choose?
Should that not be their right after such a brave battle?

I believe they should have the right to choose is all – no-one’s suggesting that everyone who is sick or disabled will trot off (not) like a lemming and die – if very sick people are allowed to choose when, how and where their “once-great but now-agonising” life ends.
