Local charity urges businesses to go blind for a day
A press release from Royal Blind:
Edinburgh based charity Royal Blind, which operates five distinct services including the iconic Royal Blind School, is urging businesses to go blind for a day and fundraise for Royal Blind while raising much needed awareness of the issues faced by blind and visually impaired adults and children every day.
Royal Blind fundraiser Gemma Gillespie said:
“As part of Royal Blind Week, we are asking people to go blind for a day to help raise awareness of the issues faced by blind and visually impaired children and adults every day. People taking part will be asked to go about their everyday tasks blindfolded but will find that something that they thought was simple will challenge them in different ways.
“This is an ideal challenge to do at work as a team building activity to support a local charity. Raising charitable funds can also help deliver your company’s corporate social responsibility strategy.”
