It may be shocking to some to think that under-10s even have mental health issues. What are your thoughts?

    I don’t find it shocking at all. It’s about time. I suffered from depression all my life and it was only recognised when I was in my mid-twenties. They just thought I was like that – you know – withdrawn, introvert and quirky (well, ok – weird). Old beyond my years was another label.

    The worrying thing is that depression and anxiety have already been devalued. Everybody gets sad sometimes. We all suffer from stress. The people who think like that will not understand it even though there is absolutely no reason why children should not be overwhelmed.
