Panorama- Hungry Britain, A Review
March 4, 2014
I’ve just watched tonight’s edition of Panorama, Hungry Britain, on food banks.
If you missed it, you can watch it here through iPlayer.
I don’t know which bullet point to put in bold, readers, so I’m going to put them all in bold.
- The man who had to live on £2.75 for a fortnight.
- The new mother too malnourished to breastfeed.
- The fact that after everything she has said about them in the past, Edwina Currie was filmed in a food bank.
- Oh yes, and then there was the Job Centre that has a chart stuck on its wall, showing targets for sanctions.
Thank you, Panorama– always showing us the truth about important issues, so no one else has to.

Reblogged this on The Wayward Nana and commented:
i watched that too and was shocked that it was quite honest. apart from edwina “hasbeen” curry trying to get involved it was the truth.
edwina made me laugh when she insulted the type of food on offer at this foodbank as being unhealthy. maybe she ought to travel over to africa or wherever there are people dying of starvation and take away their handouts of rice. after all it isnt a very good diet if all you eat is rice. stupid ignorant bint she is. im hungry. ive had one tin of rice pudding today. im sure its not too healthy. maybe i shouldnt have eaten it but i had nothing else?
