Kaspar has deliberately simple features and repetitive phrases and gestures, and teachers say they have noticed improved communication skills in some of the children who play with him.

i think this is a great idea, having seen the results of a 16yr old young man i know who is autistic and when he was 5 years old hadnt spoken one proper word. grunts and weird noises yes. but not even a 2 letter word. someone gave him a toy that had about a dozen phrases in its repertoire. this young boy spent ages “talking” to this toy and eventually began to speak. today hes got as good a vocabulary as most kids of his age and speaks relatively clearly and understandably. brilliant idea.
