‘Look Down’- A Disabled Person’s Challenge To ‘Look Up’

May 7, 2014

This is Gary Turk’s ‘Look Up.’

In just a couple of weeks, it’s gone absolutely viral. I was sent it yesterday and it did make me think, readers, BUT: Then I saw @BipolarBlogger’s challenge to it, which also has a very, very good point.

She posted hers yesterday. It hasn’t gone viral- yet. Will it, readers?

This video makes a very interesting point. Disabled people are not considered often enough in campaigns such as these.

Well, this person has never been harassed, bulled, stalked, etc. on the net. The net can and does have a very spooky dark side and, some people take their own lives form it — a good cyber friend of mine did, so it is certainly not always a friend to the disabled, which my friend was — and she was literally bullied to death, not at first but enough time spent on the internet and ‘cyber friends’ can suddenly become cyber bullies because they can do so with anonymity.
Many studies have proven that people do things on the net that they would never even consider doing in person.

I am not a doctor so this is just a lay person’s guess and it could be due to the way she was sitting: her thyroid looks very enlarged, nothing to do with her having a positive effect on her life from her life spent on the internet, however, if I could, I would let her know it might be a good idea to get her TSH, T3 and T4 checked by a doctor. The thyroid plays a major role in moods, amounts so many other important things.
