    I watched it and reviewed it here. In short, I thought the programme went out of its way to omit details about David Mason’s treatment of his daughter that would show him to be less of a hero than they wanted to show him as. Mason left his daughter Louise in an institution as a baby and she remained there until age 17. This and other details can be found with a simple Google search for his name and thalidomide. His daughter and granddaughter (the latter followed me on Twitter after I made these remarks) are proud of his achievements, but the fact is that the other parents isolated him because some of them actually did care for their disabled children full-time, and needed the money.
