Yes that is a must today for anyone with a disability or someone who has a long term health condition. It is so easy today for the DWP or indeed any agency to manipulate a sick or disabled person that leads to their death or has played a part in their death
As for a coroner’s decision not to allow a full inquest into her death is very wrong and it is most important that all the relatives of a deceased person understand fully as to how that person died so that they themselves can go forward in their own lives

Am I missing something here? Legal requirements for an inquest apply to all, disabled or not. Why should having Downs change legal criteria for inquest?

The reason is because she died in hospital and not at home
