The Emergents programme is part of the Drake Music Collective – our professional development programme for Disabled musicians.

This year we will select 5 Emergent artists.

This opportunity is open to musicians who are:

• Emergent/early career
• Disabled 
• live in England. 

Each artist will get:

• a £1000 bursary to support their future goals and creative ideas.
• an opportunity to showcase your work to an audience of industry professionals at a hybrid in-person/online event in 2025 (date to be confirmed).
• a £375 stipend to attend 3 online creative sessions with other Disabled musicians from our Future Leaders programme.
• a £50 stipend to attend an online networking session with other musicians from our network

About Drake Music:

Drake Music is a registered charity (no. 1034374) and Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisation. We are dedicated to creating opportunities for Disabled people of all ages to engage in high-quality music-making and developmental activities. Our work is structured around three key areas: First, we support emerging and established Disabled musicians in progressing their careers. Second, we offer learning, participation, and training opportunities for Disabled individuals in schools, community centers, and residential care settings. Lastly, we collaborate with technologists and instrument developers to research and develop new accessible music technology. We believe everyone has the right to express themselves creatively through music.
