This is what the bonuses of having your own staff came because you can choose the talents that they have in order to work with and for you. That’s when you are receiving services/PAs at agency rather than just a platform like myself we can’t choose what talent they have And choose who could be best to meet your needs you just have to hope and pray a lot of the time with agency which is also known as domiciliary care rather than complex care and support.I certainly believe that getting Care from a platform rather than a Home care and support agency by employing my PAs has meant that I can access more of life as a young woman with complex care and support needs raising awareness for PAs where I can and the importance of them because I hear people going on about agencies in the Home Care/support workers for them, but I never hear about the people that employ staff teams of their own and how hard it is to find staff that want to work as a disability personal assistance. And this can be a postcode lottery and what council you fall within. It depends on whether they allow you to employ your own PA’s or they believe you should stay with an agency hence force you to do so against your will, like they did with me for 5years.
