Claimant Freezes To Death After Sanctioning. JC+ Staff Were ‘Only Following Orders’

It is striking that this article from The Poor Side of Life reaches us so soon after Vox Political was told that “likening David Cameron to the Nazi party is absolutely incredible and down-right disgusting”. The article’s author writes:
I was stopped by a homeless chap who wanted to congratulate us on our hard work. He said that he hated this Job Centre. His friend who lived on the streets with him had been sanctioned after being taken off the sickness benefits that he was on and was put on Job seekers Allowance. He had severe mental health and addiction problems. He was sanctioned, and without warm clothes and very little food he fell asleep on the streets and never woke up. He died of hypothermia. People had passed him and thought that he was asleep. He didn’t stand a chance. And what do the Job Centre staff say? “We are only following orders.” Most don’t feel any guilt or remorse. And we know that this government doesn’t either.
“We are only following orders.” Isn’t that what the German soldiers at the extermination camps told the war crimes judges at Nuremberg?

People will be dying today not only homeless on the street and benefit sanctioned, but also in homes without central heating as unaffordable on low wages and lost benefits.
Whether it be kids, parents or grannies.
Over half of over 50s / over 60s are within the working poor, who will not be turning on the heating this or any other winter, even in work and with a home.
We starve and freeze equally on the street and in our homes.
This will only get worse as women born from 1953 and men born from 1951 will end up with NIL STATE PENSION FOR LIFE

Without state pension and without benefit, you do not get Winter Fuel Allowance.
A winter fuel allowance cut by £100 to most elderly, and given to MPs to offset the rise in energy prices for the second home allowance of £25,000 per year plus all the expenses.
None of this would happen if the Greens got their finger out and told everyone of their new and unique policies from their 2014 Spring Conference that offer for 2015 general election:
– replacing the cruel benefits regime with:
universal and automatic Citizen Income, non-withdrawable, to all in or out of work, to the level of the basic tax allowance
– Full State Pension to all citizens,
irregardless of National Insurance contribution / credit history
lost mostly to benefit rule changes, sanctioning / loss and early retirement on works pension on average far below the breadline.
– Ending National Insurance 12 per cent deductions from wages per year, just to not payout benefits or state pension.
And why not?
The Tories and Labour alike are calling the £30 billion sitting pretty in the National Insurance Fund since 2013 as a ‘surplus’, when it is the not paid out state pension to a couple for 7 years, and then leave womenb orn from 1953 aqnd men born from 1951 with absolutely nothing for life, when the state pension is sole income in old age.
