A Leaflet From The DWP- It’s About To Get Worse For Disabled People

August 27, 2015

I spotted this late last night on the ATOS Miracles Facebook page.

This was sent to us from  an inside source on dwp intranet
From the DWP intranet page- watch them spin it as working for your welfare you’ve not got the skills etc to get work after years out of the Job market so these employers are wiling to work with dwp to
Enable those without skills to get skills. If you don’t comply we will sanction you, so tesco etc will get free labour again under the guise of being altruistic
When IDS said relentless he meant it. I can just hear him saying the above.

Updated 2pm: Many thanks to reader Liane Gomersall who sent in a page of information about how Remploy will run SES programmes.

best thing to do is boycott the providers and expose their involvement.

I think that they just don’t get it. Many people in the support group are hardly able to leave the house that often, let alone go on some kind of intensive course. I wouldn’t last one day at at one; barely the morning, then I’d have to rest the remainder of the week, and may not be able to attend the next week.

Like most chronically ill people in the support group, it’s hard enough to keep medical appointments or even visit family, and your social life is nothing to shout about. But, even if you stopped doing all those things, you still wouldn’t be able to attend daily, not even weekly courses.

Even if I had such health, I’d have to have a carer with me, so who is going to pay for that, and the £16 round trip each day to get into town? I can’t use buses as it’s too painful for me. Who is going to employ someone who can’t even commit to 3 hours a week, as I’m only ‘very ill’ or ‘extremely ill’, and I’d be totally unreliable?

As usual, back of the fag packet policies, that give no consideration to the hell of living with an already chronic conditions. I have multiple chronic conditions, and I can state right now, that if I was forced to do this, it would be like a death sentence to me. That’s the first thing that came into my mind yesterday.

Ah yes, unreliability. That’s not something that employers don’t like is it?

I mentioned I was a bit, to the Jolly old Shaw trust and they wouldn’t even interview me. NO No no! No profits to be made from helping me. Do profits matter to a charity? Apparently so. Guess if they are forced to take us then they won’t mind. Perhaps the govt had made a lucretive deal with them?

I wanted to sign on when I had to finish work, but the local Job Centre staff wouldn’t let me; they said I was far too ill and would have to claim ESA. Then I rang The Shaw Trust and asked if I could meet with them, but when I said that I had a degree, they weren’t interested and said that they had nothing on offer for an educated person!

As it happened I became more ill year on year until I’m at the stage I’ve reached now; I can hardly even stand up today, and it’s too painful to sit. Just the thought of going through another day like this fills me with dread, but I was mistaken: it’s the announcement.

Some days I feel like I want to die, that I might even die, but I’d rather not be forced into that situation…

I was on these so called SES as the local disability employment service and Work Choice, did they get me anything? Nope. They prefer people to have no degree as we are just too much a hassle for them.

No wonder I ended up with mental illness, I couldn’t take much more 😦 there are days I wish I was dead,

That is interesting re The Shaw Trust – brainwashing courses for thickies and / or the people they assume that they are thickies

The other one I’ve heard is that they are for the people that the Job Centre don’t know what to do with – bar amateurish and illegal sanctioning that would be laughed out of most courts in the real world to massage the figures .

” Then I rang The Shaw Trust and asked if I could meet with them, but when I said that I had a degree, they weren’t interested and said that they had nothing on offer for an educated person! ”

They used to run ” Goals ” courses – NLP pseudo psychology quackery – basically it’s all your fault and it’s all in the mind . However it ticks the boxes and impresses the idiots in charge .

Remember Channel 4’s Benefit Buster’s programme ? – Bit of a online row going on here ! http://www.accountantforums.com/threads/benefit-busters-shaw-trust-c4-9-00pm.107990/page-2

Sherrie Jepson the former used car saleswoman from Shaw Trust – a female ” Arfur ” Daley – very aggressive and target driven – haven’t got to Haley Taylor , a cross between Pauline from the League of Gentleman and Marjorie Dawes – the Weightwatchers leader from hell ! .

    ” Shaw Trust

Received a multi-million pound contract to “help” these people back into work. The advisors/coaches are paid a salary plus a bonus of 300 pounds per month if they reach thier target figure of 40 people each month into work. No one had even managed more than 8 people in the current month and it was half way through! This proves either;- 1] The advisors are useless or 2] The people they are coaching/badgering are ill and unfit to work. In conclusion the shaw trust seem to be the ones fleesing the taxpayer. ”

Of course the usual Poverty Pimp outfit firms suspects are mentioned . A4e ( All for Emma ) has now been sold to another *alleged crooks outfit .
