Hearing the Need For Education
January 30, 2008
I have always strongly agreed with inclusion of DisAbled students in mainstream schools, classrooms and subjects. So imagine my happiness when I read about these extremely sensitive, hearing teachers, who are trying to bring Science and Maths to British Sign Language, for deaf children to use in schools and exams. I was very impressed to read that deaf students in Scotland can take their exams in Sign Language! I hope they get loads and loads of funding so that as many students as possible can benefit from this very good idea.
