I’ve just seen most of the documentary Tormented Lives on the BBC. I noticed there was a lot of discussion of this programme on Twitter tonight and thought I’d post this for anyone who would like to continue that discussion here.

    I too saw the programme tonight and I was deeply moved by Christopher and his situation. As a wheelchair user, I’m used to the comments I hear everyday from kids in particular (who somehow seem to think that the wheelchair makes me deaf too. Go figure!). But I have been fortunate that I have never been physically assaulted.

    We (yes all of as, as we are all part of society) should hang our heads in shame.
