If you’re a young person who can’t hear, you might like The Buzz, a new website set up by the NDCS. Thanks for the Tweet, @scope.
This wasn’t meant to be a review, but I did notice music on the Home page, which I thought was slightly insensitive considering the DisAbility of it’s users!

Thanks very much for featuring the new Buzz website. You mention the music on the homepage and this is a common misconception, as deaf people can still enjoy music. NDCS ran a deaf awareness campaign earlier this year asking deaf children what they want people to know about deafness and feedback included: ‘Even though I’m deaf, it doesn’t mean I can’t play the violin!’. Check out our campaign at: http://www.ndcs.org.uk/about_us/campaigns/wales/deaf_awareness/ In addition The Buzz website underwent rigorous testing and was designed and created by and for deaf children and young people with all levels of deafness (from mild to profound).
