James Hobley, Dancer With Autism, On Britain’s Got Talent
May 7, 2011
I first covered the story of James Hobley on Same Difference last year, when he appeared in the BBC Three documentary Autism, Disco & Me. I’ve just found out that James, now 11, is participating in this year’s Britain’s Got Talent. This is very good news, and while I don’t watch the programme, I hope he does well, and will be very happy if he wins.
You can follow James’ official Facebook page here.

I was sure I’d seen him before – now I realise where- thanks, it was bugging me.
He did well tonight and I hope he goes on to greater success!

As Goldencaesar observed, he did well, in fact more than well. I’m not really in a position to make any authoritative comments in regards to his performance except to my untutored eyes it appeared to be a very individual fusion of ballet and gymnastics. Quite mesmerising if that is the right word. [Same Difference, you really should watch either the repeats on ITV2 or on the ITV website! :-)]

Watched James on Britain’s Got Talent, he stunned the audience from the word go and the judge’s gave him a resounding YES’ YES, YES. I would dearly love to see him win this , he is that good, like a breath of fresh air.
