    I am pleased to the pensioner survived when his scooter exploded and caught fire. The ending could have been very tragic. It just goes to show we all need to keep our powerchairs and scooters regularly serviced by qualified engineers. If anyone buys a second hand vehicle it is always wise to get it checked over properly, as this case clearly illustrates. My ‘chair is my legs and I have to keep it in tip top condition, it is not worth taking risks.
