    Jan puts the benefits system into perspective, as soon as she became a disabled person she was put through the mangle of the DWP. I suspect there are many more people like her, trying to budget on a pittance and pushed from pillow to post by the DWP. I can well imagine some person sitting at a desk somewhere saying “Here we go again, another one says she’s had a stroke, they’re all at it”. I was astonished a DWP person went to her house, and instead of helping her, having seen her predicament, they still assumed she should be at work. We live in a crazy, incompassionate world, where fairness and equity seems to have been tossed overboard.
