Stephen Fry’s Letter To David Cameron On Sochi 2014

August 7, 2013

Pink News have reproduced it and it is a must read so please share.

Stephen Fry, as well as being both Jewish and Gay, is also disabled. So I have to assume that what he says about the 2014 Winter Olympics also applies to the 2014 Winter Paralympics.

Same Difference therefore offers its full support to the campaign to get the 2014 Games moved from Sochi. Not only are many disabled people also LGBT, but I personally also strongly believe that such strong discrimination against any minority group or difference would go strongly against the Paralympic spirit of allowing all athletes who are different to participate and compete in sport in safety and comfort, and tarnish the Agitos as well as the Five Rings.

problem is thou Stephen is that David Cameron hates the sick and disabled but your letter praises him for some odd reason

Apart from that what you say is spot on in your letter to the prime minister but you need to get in the real world from time to time to understand what’s going on with the sick and disabled and the governments determination to make life very difficult for them at best and to kill them off at worse as they have done over the past 3 years right under your very nose in which you have made no comment

All I see is a diversionary tactic in Frys letter. He has a large following, not only with the twitter crowd. “Look over there people, look over there”, don’t worry about the history repeating itself under your very noses here in Britain, as the coalition busily dismantles all social security, the NHS and privatises everything else, while killing off as many disabled people as they can. No, look at Russia, Putins a meany. I’m Stephen Fry, hear me roar.

he a nice guy but as is so often the case with those with a large following and wealth he lacks the ability to see the much wider picture preferring to only speak out for the needs for himself and those like himself the selfish majority of the UK

i have yet met anyone over the past 50 years with wealth speak out about the needs for others they always seam to only get involved when their needs are up for debate as if someone has just woken them up from a deep sleep

David Cameron postilion is at the end of the day is to align the uk with china but Stephan wont ever see that as in reality he doesn’t live in the real world only the jet set private one

David Cameron is trying the age old divide and conquer tactic, he wants people to start hating minority groups so that they have their attention focused on something while he does something else, my belief is he is either incompetent or just plain sadistic, hate crimes have increased i have suffered from this for the first time and only after this diabolical coalition has come into power all because i am disabled

I admire Stephen Fry and i understand his anger at Putin as he succinctly describes gay people’s terrible plights in Russia. But, there are important problems that lie here in the Britain with Tory right discriminating against sick and disabled people, people are dying here Stephen because we have a Tory party that seem to feel that disabled people, as you are too, are a total waste of time, they are directing their anger wrongly at disabled people, they are removing the human rights act, changing laws so disabled people cannot repeal the governments actions. Their hatred is Hitlerism against sick people who have no one to stand up for them. 10,600+ have died in the last 36 months, gv’mnt have refused to count further. How do we make the government accountable for murdering people in the UK?

At the end of the day Stephen wont even read this blog which proves my point if he were that clever he would reply here saying Oh i hadn’t realized how very difficult things were for the sick and disabled and thanks for the heads up

But as i said above he like most people only get involved when something effects them in a personal way that and their selective reading only keeps them well out in the realm’s of real life and in reality they cant ever have a proper discussion or debate on anything not personal as they don’t know anything about real life as they’ve never lived it a bit like the royal family
