‘Is This Against Human Rights?’

How many people have had sanctions even though they have chronic illnesses that require to be controlled by diet and probably get worse through malnutrition?
Ie diabetes, chrones, ulcerative colitis, pernicious anaemia, ckd.
My husband works full time on slightly above min wage so I’m not entitled to any ESA but I do get dla I have ckd, pernicious anaemia and diabetes and physical disabilities caused by eds type 3.
But we struggle to buy healthy food to help my conditions.
I dread to think what anyone else relying on benefits control these illnesses when sanctioned.
Is it not against human rights to cause someone to suffer through lack of proper nutrition?

I agree – these sanctions are totally wrong and in most cases unjustified. Just another way for the Tories to attack the poor, the unemployed, the sick and the disabled, and to make themselves even richer at ordinary people’s expense.
