Walking The Breadline

I recently came accross a FB site that is local here in Wales, and they are doing a sponsored walk from Tredegar to Parliment, to raise awareness and funds for foodbanks. Would you be prepared to post the link on your page please, to raise donations for local food banks…tinned food. They are making such a huge effort, walking 177 miles, it would be a small thing for any of us keyboard warriors to add some support, be it just making people aware of it, and maybe a few tins donated. Thanks. https://www.facebook.com/walkingthebreadline?fref=nf

Excellent good works. Every success.
Labour would gain votes if they opened up daily free cafes in the empty shops on each high street throughout the land, for people with sanctioned benefit letters whether able bodied or disabled / chronic sick or who lost or still waiting for disability benefits.
Food banks in the UK can only offer 3 vouchers by official recommendation in a year.
European nations and elsewhere in the world, local councils / charities run daily kitchens providing free cooked meals and hot drink that feed:
– working poor of all ages
– poor pensioners
– unemployed / homeless

If you are hungry one day, you are hungry every day. The medical profession in the UK are telling us again and again that more and more people are being admitted to hospital for starvation. It takes about a month to 6 weeks to starve to death.
Families might need to look about their extended family, because lack of food when we waste so much to the point of illness or even death, is a matter for each one of us.
