Disability Campaigner Tisme’s Cares Has Been Removed By Facebook

Campaigner and reader Gail Ward posted something on Facebook last night that I’m not at all happy to hear. That is that our fellow disability rights campaigner, Tisme’s Cares, has had her account removed by Facebook.
I caan only assume that this is beause she does not follow their ‘real name’ policy.
Tisme’s Cares does a lot of good work for disabled people and carers through Facebook. She shares useful information and requests advice for her followers and friends.
Gail Ward wannts to try to get Tisme’s Cares’ Facebook account reinstated. In this, Gail Ward has the full support of Same Difference.

How many people use their real names on Facebook? I bet it’s not everybody. Unless somebody is causing offence I see no reason why they should be barred from Facebook I find a lot of advertising to be very offensive and yet that’s not barred is it

John Caries I could not coming to the conclusion that you’re an ignorant, bigoted, discriminating, uneducated cunt. Yes disabled people have special needs, that’s why they’re called “special needs” duh! They need more help and support than most because they’re vulnerable. John and Pauline, she uses a false name due to privacy issues. Surely if you were worried about your safety and privacy – you would do the same? She works really hard at helping people with learning disabilities – more than the Government do, and she points out what they are doing wrong. Surely there is nothing wrong with that? Unless of course you want to stop people who don’t agree with you from having a page on there?
