Work Related Activity Component Of ESA Could Be Cut To 50p
April 7, 2015
Benefits And Work report some leaked details of possible further cuts to welfare benefits, including:
taxing DLA, PIP and AA,
axeing contribution-based ESA and JSA,
cutting the work-related activity component of ESA to 50p,
cutting carers allowance numbers by 40%,
making people pay the first 10% of their housing benefit.
They are asking their readers two questions:
How would these cuts affect you?
What sort of income would you have left to live on and would it be possible to do so?
Same Difference would also be very interested in your thoughts on the possible cuts and your answers to the two questions.

well I’ve been in a bad way for more than a year and not counting other periods before this. I have had £20 benefited to me and have to live of the rest from my elderly parents. if they cut anymore I’ll have nothing at all except free health care and I don’t know how long we have that for. And when they one day die, I’ll have nowhere to go.

my view is that if you vote for the conservatives then you are putting your life at risk if you are long term sick or disabled and it’s as simple as that

The Tories have to be stopped. IDS is a very dangerous man who is promising life-changing cuts to benefits. I’ve already lost the carers’ allowance for looking after my severely disabled cousin. I shudder to imagine what this man has in store for us if he gets back in.

Please get the Tories out. Their plans will make our lives unbearable and those of us with no family at all have no safety net.

I and my husband are both disabled and in the WRAG on ESA. We have been struggling to keep our heads above ewayer for the past 2 years. Any more money lost to us will likely mean we will lose our home.

Well stop complaining because it has been made clear that being disabled was a life choice and the tories intend to stop it, after all they are there for hardworking people not for people who doss around all day, and it doesn’t matter tot hem that you used to be a hardworking person, because now you are no longer considered to be a viable member of society, early 1930’s Germany had the same idea and look where that lead.

VOTE FOR THESE IN TORY AND LIB DEM VOTING AREAS
The poor, including those within the 11 million disabled, are the majority of all voters today.
The Tories and Lib Dems did not win in 2010.
They won in voting areas where the majority of the people did not come out to vote.
Because even then they were not told about TUSC or the SOCIALIST GB.
This election we have further parties of the poor of the left to vote for as MP, which means less Tory and Lib Dem MPs into an opposition.
HERE IS THE MATH
Over 100 MPs from parties of the poor of the left
59 SNP from Scotland
40 Plaid Cymru – all of Wales
Around 190 Labour MPs when need 323-326 MP threshold
Added all together get an unassailable majority UK parliament of over 400 MPs.
And have reduced and fully stopped the Tories into a minority opposition.
THE POOR HAVE ALL THE POWER THEY NEED THIS ELECTION /
VOTE DIFFERENT / VOTE OUT AUSTERITY /
VOTE NOT FOR VOTING’S SAKE BUT TO
PUT A PENCIL CROSS IN A BOX AGAINST THE NEW PARTIES
TO GET FOOD ON THE TABLE AND ROOF OVER YOUR HEAD

Barry is absolutely spot on. It has already started, disabled and sick now treated worse than criminals and the government by inciting crime against sick, disabled and those unemployed and can’t get jobs no matter how hard they try, inciting hate crimes is making it legal to do so. So many have committed suicide. I am going to vote minority party. Saw a lib dem MP in the street on Monday in Market Harborough. The black look he gave me as a deaf and disabled person (I have a Hearing Dog) sent shivers down my spine. I’ve never been treated this way by any MP before

Trouble is that so many people are brainwashed by the Tory media into believing all people on any benefit are fraudulent scroungers and can all find a job. Shame is they can’t even find jobs for the keen and able bodied. They hate the poor and needy and just see us as a drain on them.

what exactly do they mean though by cutting ESA WRAG to50p?? is that all they expect those poor unfortunates who land up on that group,to live off? or do they mean its being CUT by that amount
