I would put in a complaint about what happened, you’re damned if it happens and damned if it doesn’t happen. That’s why I record everything then whatever excuse they use the person can say they turned up but was taken away for medical reasons. with the recording the person can then send it to the CEO of Maximus and to the DWP as a complaint, that is after asking them for the reason of the sanction, let them drop themselves in the shit then prove their case is all lies by revealing the recording. But IMHO I would ask them to record the assessment anyway giving them the minimum 48 hours notice, they will cancel either there and then or on the day if they have a phone number, which should never be given to the DWP.

What is the problem with this?

The claimant chose to leave, going to hospital instead and so chose not to complete the assessment. The report from the healthcare professional clearly stated that the claimant had left the assessment and that the claimant was obviously fit for work.

If the claimant really was suffering a massive heart attack as he had claimed, he would now be dead, so the assessment did what it is supposed to do, weeding out the malingerers and scroungers who are sponging off hard-working families and who are stopping us from paying off the national debt.

people do not go to hospital just for the fun of it. especially these days when chances are you’ll spend most of the day in casualty on a stretcher.and be lucky to get a bed should you need to be kept in hospital. it does not follow that if a claimant suffers a massive heart attack he would be dead. what medical training have you had?none obviously. because if you had you would not come out with such evil drivel. i am medically trained and i know even some severe cases have survived. in this case the assessor would be to blame if he had died there and then plus the ministers in charge of the dwp because its their directives these assessors are using to assess people. , the man would have died without treatment. he obviously got to where he could be treated immediately and in time to save his life. the assessor and you clearly HAVE no heart so you wont ever suffer such a thing. unfortunately.
