How much more blatant does discrimination have to be?
Well, that’s interesting.
I am a Housing Association tenant and I have just received my quarterly residents magazine from the HA and I think I am being discriminated against.
Not me personally but me as a disabled person.
Apparently my area is a test area for Housing Association tenants who want to buy their own home under the Government’s much-trumpeted new ‘Right to Buy’ scheme. Now, I am not actually interested in buying, I am more than happy to go on renting, but I thought I’d read the article anyway just to see what was being proposed.
That’s when I found that I am not eligible, despite living in a pilot area.
Why, I hear you ask.

Strange you should mention this:
I got an email today off my HA asking me if I’d be interested in a property that’s just become available.
Now our HA aren’t known for their philanthropy, nor do they send emails of prospective properties.
I know they want my house! It’s a high-quality house, with a large drive & huge garden in a very desirable area, worth approx 160k.
I know this because the HA bent over backwards to get my neighbour out and when he refused the properties he was offered – they were furious! I found out from a friend [who works for our HA] that they were furious because the house was going to be sold
