i have known many mp’s in my time and although i did not know Jo she was head and shoulders above all that i have ever known in the past
It’a a pity her fellow mp’s did not put her forward for the leadership as she had all the right solid credentials to not only lead the labour party but also to become the next prime minister who David Cameron would have approved of
As we mourn the tragic loss of jo cox we need to remember what she stood for which was a caring compassionate individual who always put her constituency along with those in desperate needs oversees first and not herself
Jo Cox was a “truly exceptional woman” whose “goodness and passionate dedication to humanitarian values has inspired us all.”
She had done more in such a short space of time then most mp’s will do in a lifetime and i just regret that i didn’t live near her 😦
pity she hadnt been an MP longer. was only a year, so was either not an MP at the time of the leadership vote or only just become one. … looked it up. she became MP in May 2015. the leadership vote took place on 12 Sep 2015. so she hadnt really been a MP long enough long enough to be considered. for nomination.
.
indeed it was only a short time but at least she got to be a mp HAVING done the groundwork and not like most a wink and a nod and in having the right connections and going straight in to politics via the back door (safe seat)
