    It’s good to see MP’s such as the three named especially Yvette Cooper & Rachel Reeves fighting their constituents corners, shame they were in Govt and started the whole assessment process and joined in with the rhetoric the Tories were spouting, it feels a little to late but none the less the people they are representing need sll the help they can get.

    How did they vote on the £29.05 WRAG component being removed from ESA claimants? If they voted for it then this is just a token gesture because they are been made to feel guilty at voting for a cut.

      As far as memory recalls they voted against the cut, only issue that the the welfare bill went through with mass abstentions so all changes were actually passed without a whimper, this was when Harriet Harmen instructed them to do so, some notable exceptions of course.

    erm – I think you’ll find this all started in the middle of the previous decade with swivel eyed Tory Peter ‘ I’ve a little list ‘ Lilley and the introduction of the outlawed Unum Provident dictating policy – Unum – the almighty elephant in the room that drives everything

    There’s also allegations about Lilley in alternative media re guest houses and squares – as Clinton Baptiste would say …….*allegedly

    The problem is Neo Liberalism and a very right wing media – people got some ! socially democratic concessions – the Tories bitterly resent granting any at all , just begrudged aggrandisement and spiteful soundbites , Victorian Workhouse ideology with some assistance from the ghost of Ayn Rand .

    There wasn’t appeal bills reaching £80m costing far more to administrate than it saved and deaths were in the low hundreds not up to 14,000 in the noughties .
