This Is The Effect Of Disability Benefit Assessments

It is not just those with a mental health condition that are at risk of sucide or death due to PIP assessments. If you live with a long term disability or condition you nearly always have mild depression even for physical problems related to the often enforced social isolation and not being able to do simple everyday tasks others take for granted never mind other life challenges. Then you are forced to fill long forms in by the DWP.The worry waiting for the outcome makes us more anxious and depressed at the thought that they will take away what little help we have with care and mobility.We learn they ignore our painstakenly filled in forms, collecting and struggling to copy letters from specialists in favour of lies told by the private company medical assessors who know nothing about us, and have targets to meet in failing people. On my nurse assessment form she stated that she had ignored all the hospital medical evidence. She failed to put all my medical conditions or prescribed medication in the boxes on her form. I innocently assumed that she would record all. Instead she stated I was on no significant pain medication, despite supplied prescriptions, pain clinic letters etc. She stated I had a normal spine and normal gait despite supplied evidence to state otherwise and her failure to even assess my spine.or gait. She stated I could walk many times my actual few metres which is not reliable or repeatable or safe and very slow so shouldn’t even count hence I rely on my wheelchair which she ignored to acknowledge in her list of my aids. I am now even more depressed at being left housebound, incontinent, unable to shower.or carry out therapy. Next week my car which offered me some normality is due to go along with it the means to put air into my wheelchair tyres. What is the point of living? I know thousands more disabled people are having their lives destroyed by ATOS lies and the DWP failing to take account of all the evidence that we supply in good faith.
