DWP Tried To Con PIP Inquiry

December 12, 2017

With many thanks to Benefits And Work.

The DWP have attempted to mislead the work and pensions select committee over the accuracy of PIP and ESA decisions.

In a document entitled ‘Work and Pensions Select Committee PIP and ESA Assessments inquiry: Supporting Statistics’ the DWP argue that only “A small proportion of decisions are overturned at MR [mandatory reconsiderations] or appeal”.

The document presents figures showing that only 4% of PIP decisions and 3% of ESA decisions are overturned at mandatory reconsideration.

What the document fails to explain is that many claimants are prevented from requesting a mandatory reconsideration in the first place, because call centre staff repeatedly mislead claimants by telling them:

You are not allowed to request a mandatory reconsideration by phone, you must do so in writing;

You must have new medical evidence before you can ask for a mandatory reconsideration.

Neither of these statements is true, but they are undoubtedly effective in discouraging many claimants from challenging a decision.

The DWP go on to claim that only a small proportion of PIP decisions upheld at mandatory reconsideration have been overturned at first tier Tribunal. They present this as being between 2% and 4%, depending on the health condition.

But this entirely ignores the fact that many claimants will simply be physically, mentally or emotionally unable to lodge an appeal after already being forced to take part in the mandatory reconsideration process, which is deliberately designed to discourage claimants from taking matters further

But the one figure that the DWP shamefully exclude from their briefing document is the overturn rate at first tier tribunals.

With 65% of PIP claimants and 68% of ESA claimants winning their appeal, it’s no surprise that the DWP simply avoid mentioning appeal success rates at all in their document.

    >”DWP Tried To Con PIP Inquiry”

And the PIP (and ESA) Inquiry Tries To Con Everyone Else.

No “mandatory reconsideration” just four and a half months of the DWP (and their local Council nonces) trying to starve me to death.

It took shaming that (still not in prison) Vulnerable Adult Abusing and Torturing criminal vermin Theresa May before the DWP paid the money they defrauded…

And it’s Local Council (bribed directly by the DWP) is STILL fraudulently claiming that I owe them Council Tax. Now threatening to send some criminal thugs to my home to steal some of my stuff. (graphic of their latest hate crime coming soon…)

From MPs? … just more of their hate crime…
It’s about getting the *evidence* of their “Grave and Systematic” criminal abuses. 😉

indeed. all we do here is just go round and round in circles getting nowhere and that is why most people across the country aren’t even interested
its like we are talking to ourselves and that’s how its going to stay sad to say

        Oooooh no.
        *Hope* keeps people alive.

I’m only back getting Support Group ESA because I published and emailed the *evidence* of DWP and public sector sickos abusing, torturing hate crimes everywhere I could think of.

It’s like their pedophiles in the 1970’s… they’re covering it all up, at the moment… but make some noise and the sickos will go and find easier targets.

And with enough *evidence* maybe the UN will start arresting the vermin whenever they try travelling anywhere Civilized –

It’s not like we are going around in circles Nick. People are waking up with the BS these Tories throw at us. Social media is helping the trafic flow. People are seeing for themself’s, either by having a taste of the medicine. Or even catching on, in what is going on in the real world outside their own front doors. As P&D say’s… There is HOPE.

Keep on talking. They will eventually see the fog lift from their eyes.

i don’t see it shadow at all and speaking to many mp’s as I do through out the year don’t see it either

they are just not understanding the welfare deaths at all in conversation and where it is going to end

even Debbie Abrahams fears the worst as I do in that the sick and disabled will just be left to their resources and good luck if they make it

It’s hard to see the change that is arriving indeed. For you, I, & other’s, we see it easily through our own eyes/experiences, that people are moving towards a better change, of a new government in Corbyn. look at the membership now for the Labour party. It’s still growing. People want change. The sheepie need to look deeper on the real issues we are all becoming drawn under. Not the 1%er’s but the 99.

MP’s are hard work to win over in trying to get them on side. It’s hard work. Me. I don’t trust them one bit. But someone has to have the HOPE in getting them to work for us and not them. JC has the many behind him. Including myself. With him we shall overcome. Time for change is on the Horizon. As in the words of Martin Luther King. “I have a dream” We shall prevail. So Yes. HOPE is there for us all.

It is a long and winding road we have to travel to get there, but in the end we will. Believe in it.

i hope your right as my Aspergers doesn’t allow me to get mp’s logic despite the fact I’m considered gifted and can grasp a decent person when I see one

They don’t even need to speak such is my gift and as a retired diplomat to be able to call out a fake is a good art’ and as my youngest daughter will tell you in that that’s what most mp’s are and that’s fake and she works among them as a consultant for the practise she works for

I spoke yesterday with Dominic Grieve’s assistant and had a good chat and he’s no fake he’s the real deal politics aside’ but with so very few like him in the commons I doubt very much and good will ever happen with the sick and disabled other then their premature deaths and with the vast majority of people never to know

        >”Debbie Abrahams fears the worst”

Debbie Abrahams and Corbyn and ALL of their gang ARE the worst.

Next time you see any of them why not just ask them ‘WHERE ARE YOUR POLICE???’ Not exactly difficult, just four words… (record it all of course)

Is Debbie Abrahams in prison yet? –

Is Jeremy Corbyn AND it’s mate David Gauke in prison yet?

Where is any *evidence* to show that any of those political vermin are human? (put up, go on)

I have plenty that shows those hate criminal nonces are definitely just lowlife hot-air blowing, blind-eye turning, Witness Intimidating, Abusing, ***Wilfully Neglectful*** filth.

… there was ONE torturing, murdering, abusing, blind-eye turning, Wilfully Neglectful lowlife who showed a tiny bit of decency (in the end)

indeed, and today we have had news that Tulip Siddiq mp doesn’t talk about politics to her aunt with regards Questions over links with Bangladeshi ruling party

just family talk she says only. I don’t believe that for a minute

as I’ve always maintained and my daughter agrees fully with me’ mps go into the commons to further themselves only and when they leave having been kicked out fade away as you can’t talk rubbish in the real world as no business would put up with it and no one would employ them as they don’t know nothing and talk is cheep

they then in desperation go into celebrity status and if lucky go in to I’m a celebrity get me out of here or just fade completely into the unknown

    >”we have had news that Tulip Siddiq mp doesn’t…”

I saw that scumbag getting it on Channel4 news (actually doing some *REAL* journalism for once).
Checkout the video. It actually makes threats to a pregnant member of the Channel4 team.
And later that day the family in Bangladesh got intimidation from it’s aunts armed police (or was it army) turning up at their home.

    Ah found it –

It ‘Constituents ONLY’ thing is TOTAL BS.

How ‘reality free’ do you have to be to want to vote for any of those criminals.

I guess some turkeys will always vote for Xmas.

Nothing but lies from the DWP. When are they going to speak the truth for a change?
