Deaf Man Charged In Vitalis Katakinas Murder Case

Limping Chicken are reporting that a Deaf man, Matthew Powe, 30, has been charged with the murder of Deaf actor Vitalis Katakinas.
I don’t know why I’m surprised to read that Matthew Powe is deaf. Maybe I’m just very sad to think that two members of one community turned on each other, with such a tragic result.

Same Difference 
I think the consensus is that Vitalis was having a bit of a misunderstanding with a friend, but they made up by hugging and Powe thought that Vitalis was attacking his friend, therefore punched Vitalis. His head hit something lethal on the ground. It seems like a terrible misunderstanding, a split second of ill-judgement.
