Nicole’s Legacy

January 1, 2012

I’m watching this as I type:

The story of inspirational 21-year-old Nicole Dryburgh who, despite being left blind, deaf and unable to walk through spinal cancer, wrote two books and raised tens of thousands of pounds to help young cancer sufferers. Sadly, she died suddenly in 2010.

Thanks, though as a Deaf viewer – that particular iPlayer programme contains no subtitles for me to access the speech.
Would be nice to have an informed summary? I will see the whole programme though, it is very visual.

A beautill story of an inspartional young lady who despite all her own problems raised huge amounts of money to help others. Cancer is a horrible condition to have and whilst there are wards for adults and specialist wards for children, teenagers belong in neither of these and need their own wards and Nicole has helped to highlight this – let’s hope that more of these wards are created and that her legacy is carried on.
