Did you read the whole article? He is actually arguing for doctor-assisted dying.

I know… but he is arguing against family-member assisted dying in favour of doctor assisted dying. I share the view that it is cruel and unfair to ask family members to end the life of a family member.

No… Every life is valuable and should end naturally. Doctors are there to do their best to save lives, not end them.
But I believe that it is much more unfair to ask a family member who loves you to live the rest of their lives with the knowledge that they played a part in ending yours.
