Should Pavement Parking Be Banned In England And Wales?

Vehicles being parked on pavements can be annoying for some walkers but for those who have difficulty getting around, being forced to walk in the road to get past cars is especially dangerous.

Same Difference 
As a motor car parked on the pavement obstructs free passage along the pavement, it is already illegal.
So why do MPs wish to debate the matter?
Can they not discuss something of far greater significance, such as whether Iain Duncan Smith is bad, mad or possessed by a demon?

Has above its against the law to and one can get booked for it
pity that this lot whilst robustly filling out their reports they
forget about those sanctioned those starving those being abused
by rtu ids its sad realy when pavements mean alit more to our mps

I agree with the two comments above. However I get driven mad by pavement sparklers cos I’m a wheelchair user and often have to go in the road as not enough room to get through on the pavement. It puts me and my Hearing Dog at serious risk. I hate shared surfaces as I can’t hear cars coming. Shared surfaces with pedestrians, cyclists and vehicles sharing same surface is a recipe for disaster and a cyclist in Southend has already died on one. These should be banned

i think thats a brilliant idea , it should be banned car drivers ar so selfish when it comes to were they park people with buggies wheelchairs and such like need to be able to get round cars have plenty of room to park with out useing foot paths
