Have you got a Tankchair? Have you had a similar experience?
It was a dream Christmas present – a motorised wheelchair that was supposed to allow a disabled dad to enjoy trips to the countryside and the beach with his family. But it has turned into a nightmare ‘four year’ legal battle because the Tankchair imported from America didn’t work. Now Jim Starr from Dorchester says he’s lost all hope of getting his chair back or any refund. Richard Slee reports.

saw this on wheelchair love on facebook, on a pic of the tankchair. im getting hold of the chap, but as of yet no response….
Bruce Langfitt post:- selling mine for a gas powered chair, the ones from tank chair have bad problems, and brake down a lot , the people from tank chair wont fix it unless you send it to them . mine quit working when i was out in the middle of the woods , hunting , had to wait 30 min. for someone to come help me , thank god i had my phone.

I also purchased a tank chair for my daughter and it didn’t work when it was delivered, took 6 months for them to bring a module so it would run,then I had never received a charger for it so the batteries went dead because I was trying to make do with the power charger of my daughters other chair, so after another 6 months they picked up the chair and had it for 3 months, returned,still no power charger, at the two year make I get a charger for it and the chair does run but 10 feet at a time. I no longer have faith in there company, they are hiding behind the wounded warriors and Jesus……..saddeneds me !

omg can u please email me aceonejimmy@hotmail.com sorry it took so long to see this. im going to press about this as brad and liz soden and tankchair have ruined my last 5 christmases. im autistic and been in severe depression over this and cannot come out of it. so sorry to hear about your tankchair

please complain to the arizona attorney general’s office. they need more than one complaint to take action against the company. they have the proof he was knowingly selling faulty chairs 😉
