Tory Council Candidate Gregg Peers Caught Posing Dressed As Oscar Pistorius
March 23, 2015
If he thinks this is funny, he is very wrong.

This is offensive to amputees, and a very painful sight for anyone who has ever lost anyone to murder.

I’m an amputee of just over 2 years and I find this to be offensive and vulgar! When I first had my amputation, (due to a surgeon’s negligence 9 months before), the Pistorius photos and posters where all around the gym to encourage people. I already found them offensive due to the fact that it was mainly older people with circulation problems, diabeties complications and accidents that used the gym every day, twice a day for six weeks before getting fitted with a prosthesis and going home. It was offensive as the pictures made us all feel inadequate as we had passed our prime and would be finding it difficult to walk never mind run.
Then all of a sudden, half way through the six weeks, the rumours started, but the physios wouldn’t believe such talk and the posters stayed up, even though some of us questioned the reason as to why.
I went back to the gym three months after leaving the hospital, and I called in to see them all to have a chat and catch up – the most noticeable thing was the photos and the posters were all gone. Just showed me that the physios shouldn’t have had the monopoly on pictures if some of the patients questioned it.
I hope that this evil bastard gets sacked, thrown out of the party altogether and ends up with nothing.
