Cutting PIP in the Budget is dangerous – PIP keeps the lights on for sick and disabled people

March 17, 2016

Pat's Petition

The Chancellor is cutting PIP in the budget. This is supposed to be disabled people’s contribution to cutting the deficit.

PIP is a Personal Independence Payment given to sick and disabled people to cover the extra costs of disability. Points are awarded for the costs of different kinds of aids and appliances. The Chancellor is juggling the points and getting a massive saving.

But no PIP points are added for the greatest, most enduring and significant extra cost of disability. the budget should be about the very basics like making sure everyone in the uk is living in their own house be it affordable housing or at market values

the budget should not be about miner subjects like sugar and although sugar is bad for your health not living in your own home is far far worse as that is where the root of all ills lies be it drug taking / depression ETC leading in to a complete feeling of hopelessness

Even renting causes a feeling of failure as that is what you were in the sixties when i was a kid renting was coincided bad in the part of London i grew up in and today that view has never changed

renting is a mugs game and if i were the prime minister i would be dealing with the basics like making sure everyone was living in their own home making their own decisions and not like as of now acting like a nanny state and forgetting about what the budget should be really about and that’s housing/health/ and education because if your housing is not good your health will become bad and your education will suffer and your life will become a failure
