Disability Rights Campaigner Adam Lotun Standing In Corby By-Election
September 20, 2012
I’ve just read in today’s Society Daily that Disability Rights Campaigner Adam Lotun is standing as an Independent candidate in the Corby by-election.
This is Adam’s election campaign website.
As a disabled person who would love to be in Parliament myself one day, I am very impressed by Adam’s wish to stand independently. I think there should be many more disabled MPs than there currently are.
I wish Adam all the very best with his election campaign, and I would be very pleased to see him win the seat.

Thank you so much for those kind, encouraging and supportive words. My standing in Corby as a Prospective Parliamentary Candidate is the first step to seeing true equality and parity within Society for for the UK Disabled Community. If truth were to be told, we should see a minimum of 20% of MPs being disabled if Parliament were to truly represent the demographics of our Society, leading to a maximum number of 30%. I am aiming to win this By-Election, I do not have the marketing, media and campaigning might of the three min parties in Parliament, but I am confident that I can compete on an equal playing field with them. It is my belief that the LibDems will not secure 3rd, 4th or even 5th place in this By-Election and that UKIP will split the Conservative Vote, and that the silence from Labour regarding Local and National Issues that have dominated the Political Headlines, and their alignment with the Conservative Party moves to restrict Party Donations have further alienated their core supporters. All of these points I have issued above have led to a grass roots mobilisation for a truly Democratic Party to Right Wing Politics in our Country today, and I am certain that my showing in this By-Election will be the galvanism that will lead to some further two dozen similar minded Candidates to stand across the UK in the 2015 General Elections, wit me once again leading the way.
