Government E-Petition On Isa Muaza
Started by Julian Huppert MP and Lord Roberts of Llandudno.
Isa Muaza
Responsible department: Home Office
We are distressed and saddened to hear that Isa Muaza’s appeal to be released from detention was refused by the Court of Appeal on 25 November 2012.
Isa Muaza’s condition is critical. He has been on hunger strike in Harmondsworth Detention Centre for over 90 days, and is no longer able to see or stand. We are extremely concerned that Mr Muaza will soon die or suffer permanent damage to his health in detention or during a forced removal from the UK.
We call on Theresa May, the Home Secretary, to exercise clemency, release him from detention to receive medical treatment to stabilise his condition prior to any removal, so that another death or serious harm in immigration detention or during the removal process may be avoided.

So what. He should not have been here in the first place. Take him, and the rest out, in coffins.

Aland- He may have emigrated to England, but he is still human. That’s why I’m supporting his case.
I realise that you are expressing your personal opinion, but please try not to do so in such strong language in future.

The fact this case has any support baffles me. He was given a full consideration of his case and a decision given as “clearly unfounded”. For god sake he’s quoted as saying he came to the UK for a “better life” and presumably travelled through several other “safe” countries before arriving in the UK. Hardly the actions of someone in feae of their life from his own country? If I was in fear of my life – I would claim asylum in the first safe country I got to…. The fact he was ill before the removal was hus own choice. The UK cannot be held ransom by failed asylum seekers who choose to go on hunger strike, and really……why should we?
