Most of us with chronic severe pain learn to hide it, the assessors should never make assumptions though that is what they appear taught to do. How are we supposed to have any indepenance if we are judged for doing a normal task, though no doubt full of strong painkillers. Appeal you must

Perhaps everyone having a home visit should stay in bed for the whole assessment. Even better also fill the bed with used nappies or inco pads. Suck plenty of fizzy sweets so that you’re fuming at the mouth and mudge as much grime over yourself as possible.
have a friend let them in and instruct them to repeat every question at the top of their voice several times.
Buy the thickest pair of glasses you can find on the internet and hold all the forms up against them.
Don’t forget to keep grasping and only answer in monosylables before collapsing.
    That should do it.
