Tory Candidate Kristy Adams Claims She ‘Healed’ Deaf Man With The Power Of Prayer

May 5, 2017

Prayer is a very positive thing, but it can never completely cure disability on its own.  Same Difference will be very scared if she becomes an MP!

A Tory candidate has claimed she healed a man who was deaf in both ears through the power of prayer.

Kristy Adams, the Conservative candidate in Hove and Portslade, said she laid her hands on the man’s ears and said: “Be healed in Jesus’ name.”

When she removed her hands, she claimed, he could hear without his hearing aids.

Mrs Adams told the Mirror, tonight: “Like millions of Christians in the UK, I believe in praying to help people.”

She added: “Millions of Christians around the world pray for people’s health – that’s a good thing isn’t it?

“It’s about tolerance and we are a city of tremendous tolerance.”

Mrs Adams, who was involved in Theresa May’s campaign against modern slavery, spoke of the healing at the King’s Arms Church in Bedford in 2010.

She recounted how she had been told she would see people healed in a “prophecy” two years earlier.

Mrs Adams was selected on Monday as the Conservative candidate for Hove, where Labour have a slim majority of just 1,236 votes.

In the interview, which was published on the Church’s website, she said she had restored the man’s hearing while representing her church at the Vitality Show, a spirituality and new age health expo held at Earl’s Court in March 2009.

More than 32,000 people visited the three day event, which featured yoga classes, Reiki and Indian head massage, a day spa and stands from more than 350 health, fitness and spirituality organisations.

She was part of a group running a “healing centre” at the fair, where volunteers distributed bible scriptures and encouraged visitors to “give their lives to Jesus.”

She said: “He had hearing aids in both ears and I just thought that wasn’t right. It just annoyed me.

“So I said: ‘I don’t think that’s quite right, is it? That you should be serving God like this.”

“So I said: ‘Can I pray for you?’ – and his eyes lit up, which is unusual when you offer to pray for someone’s healing. You don’t expect that.”

After she removed her hands, she said, he could hear without his hearing aids.

“I don’t know if he was more surprised or me.”

She said they had prayed together a few more times, “just to make sure. I’m a cynic.”

She said a man working on a “new age” stand nearby was “freaked out” by the apparent miracle.

Mrs Adams was elected as a Conservative Party councillor in Bedford the following year.

Labour MP Paul Flynn said: “Egads. Can we get this on the National Health?

“I think they’ll probably make her the science spokesman if she does get elected for the Tory party. She seems up to their standard of unscientific science.”

The church’s online videos show worshippers claiming to have been healed of ailments ranging from lost sense of smell to leukaemia, all through the power of prayer.

One article on their website said: “In January of this year I had to have quite a major operation to remove a large cyst from one of my ovaries.

“The hospital discovered the cyst early in December and as more tests were done I found out that I was at risk of this cyst being cancerous.

“I also learned that I had to consent to the surgeons giving me a hysterectomy if they deemed it necessary once they’d assessed the full extent of the problem during surgery.

“The whole experience was incredibly traumatic yet I knew that this was a great opportunity to seek God for a miracle and so I prayed consistently…

“Amazingly everything turned out clear in the end and I am still able to have children.

“God was clearly involved in the whole process and the outcome and for that I’m incredibly grateful.”

Family friend Eve Burt – the wife of MP Alistair Burt – used to attend the Bedford Conservative Women’s Association with Ms Adams.

Mrs Burt told the Mirror: “She never talked about it [the healing incident]

“But she used to be part of one of the big churches here that has a healing ministry.”

Mrs Burt said that Mrs Adams attended Kings Arms Church during her time as a councillor in Bedford which teaches people can be healed by prayer and includes articles on the subject on its website.

Mrs Adams, 46, grew up in Sussex and lives with Julian, her husband of 24 years and their two children.

She and Julian are co-directors of an attic conversion company, based in Hove.

In May last year (2016), she won a gold medal as part of a team that created a “modern slavery garden” at the Chelsea Flower Show, a project backed by Prime Minister Theresa May when she was Home Secretary.

Mrs May visited the garden, posing for photos with Mrs Adams and gardener Juliet Sergeant.

King’s Arms Church is an evangelical Christian community based in Bedford and founded in 1992.

The church is an offshoot of social justice organisation The King’s Arms Project, which was formed in 1989 by Tory peer Baroness Stroud.

Tory former culture minister Ed Vaizey volunteered with the project in 2006.

I know that church from when i was living in Bedford from 1990 to 1997.(did not realise how new it was then/ was held in Dame Alice school hall when i knew it. in fact it was the first church i went to after moving there. only went a few times though.there was a hostel for young people attached to it. it seemed weird to me that every Sunday about 6 or more young people was supposed to have been hit with the Holy Spirit.. now i am a Christian and ill admit to being hit myself. twice pain taken away from my back(but not cured as ive still got it but for a couple of days i was pain free…powers of the brain>? who knows?) and once on a visit to Walsingham ..that was something else but you had no preconceived ideas of what could happen when you took part in the sprinkling of the waters(Holy water) and what did occur was totally a pleasant experience.but i would not say anything was cured. on the latter occasion i did feel at peace for a few weeks after.(could do with that happening again at times to be honest. lol) that was it. but at that church…….. it seemed to be the same few youngsters that this was happening to.every Sunday… i took a friend there. i didn’t say why.just let them make their own minds up. and yes , they felt the same as me. it was a put up i say i’m not saying you cant heal with prayer but i would be very wary of having anything to do with that particular church, sounds to me like that candidate is involved in a similar church elsewhere. i am not a sceptic. was just something not right at that place.

These religious nutters are very dangerous in the world of politics are are responsible for most of the War and Human Suffering in the world today and throughout history! They hide behind the power of God and wrap their discrimination and persecution up in faith. Prayer will never ever cure anything, yes positive thinking does help, but praying to God will never cure, because if you do believe, it was God who gave you the illness in the first place!

its not ALL religious people Sam Jam….. only the stupid fanatical ones that tell people its a holy war when they know there’s no other good reason for starting a war. most religious people are peace loving and only want people to be happy and have things like a home, money to feed, clothe.. heat their homes and for their kids to grow up in a world that’s peaceful and full of promise.with the hope of going somewhere better after death. no one should take that hope away from people.often its a way for them to get through what life throws at them, nothing wrong with that. its when some go OTT with it. and as for people being ill, if God did intend it then we accept it. he doesn’t give us more than we can bear( or so i am told), but the Tory’s make things unbearable for millions, and send people into a world they cant cope with. Its not God, its people doing these evil things. but… religion and politics are NOT a good mix. it was responsible for a lot … Joan of arc’s death. all those classed as heretics in Bloody Mary’s time, Henry 8th and his renouncing of the catholic faith so he could wed his brothers wife, then divorce her and another. behead 2 others. yes religion has a lot to answer for but only because of certain characters throughout history interpreting the holy books in the way THEY wish to interpret them and using words to inflame people. just as Donald trump did in his pre president election speeches, (and possibly still doing..ive stopped listening to the delusional man)

As a Christian, I’m fully aware of the power of prayer and have seen people who have been cured. I’ve no time for Mrs. Adams’s politics, but if she reports an instance of miraculous healing I’m willing to accept it at least within the bounds of possibility.

We must be very careful of conflating religious belief and party politics, and of condemning someone’s religion because we don’t like their politics or vice versa.

Prayer can be good for certain people, it is down to choice, however, in the likes of the types of the Adams and the rest of the tory family there only cure is the wca miracle assessment cure, I am not religious but i pray for all the people that have been affected by there bad decisions, me included and whatever belief you have, when it comes to tory belief there is only one place for them, i would say hell but that is to nice

along came a tory, they went to a pub called the king’s arms, they had so much of the local hooch it ran out and then one of them said i can hear again, someone just said last order’s let’s get six pints in, so they thought about it, during that time they said why should we pay for it, we can tell everyone of our miracle cure, then they donate to us and we can go on the piss and now there are running as a mp, how safe is that

try to turn this into a joke, as this is what i view this lot as adn some people don’t like my views well tough love
